Had to make lunches for 2 and 3 this morning, 4 always plans ahead. I kind of miss making a lunch for 1. As a reminder, for the last couple years, the wife and I have made the kid’s lunch everyday before we sent them off to school. My wife started the ‘tradition’ of putting a short sweet note in each of the kids lunch boxes. Generally speaking, I don’t have that soft sweet note type thing in me so I tried to look for cool quotes that speak into something they may be going though or some type of principle they should live by. Here are today’s quotes:
1. “One of the most important reasons for studying history is that virtually every stupid idea that is in vogue today has been tried before, time and again.” – Thomas Sowell
2. “It was a land of vast silent spaces, of lonely rivers, and of plains where the wild game stared at the passing horseman.” – Theodore Roosevelt
3. “Raise your arguments, not your voice.” – Rumi
4. “Work on their heads later…for now, just their hearts.” – Chilli
