Monday. Supposed to rain all week. At least the kids made their lunches last night…and the coffee is kicking in. Gonna be a good day (repeat). As a reminder, these are the small quotes I put in the kids’ lunch everyday. I try to find something cool, motivational, or something that speaks to what they are going through. Gonna be a good day. Here are today’s quotes:
1. “The wolf on the hill is never as hungry as the wolf climbing it.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger
2. “Courage is fear that has said its prayers.” – Zane Grey
3. “I asked God: ‘Why are you taking me through troubled waters?’ He replied: ‘Because your enemies can’t swim.'” – Unknown
4. “I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keeps the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.” – J.R.R. Tolkien
On a side note, my dad read and I think actually owned, every book Zane Grey ever wrote…most of them anyway. There were several boxes. My dad was an avid reader of westerns. Anyway, anytime I see his name or Louis L’Amour I think of him.
(Looks up) It is going be a good day.
