I am cleaning up my Bookmarks on X… here are some quick X threads I found interesting. This post is also an open thread. I welcome any readers to post comments or additional links related to national security or history issues, even if unrelated to the links below.
A month ago, Javier Milei looked politically dead.
Congress overturned his vetoes. Markets were in freefall. The peso was collapsing. Polls showed voters turning against him.
On Sunday, he won a landslide that shocked everyone.
This is how he pulled it off. 🧵 pic.twitter.com/phiKUuo1OA

On the surface, this does not look like a National Security post, but it is. A successful, closely aligned Argentina is critical in making the Americas Great Again. If Milei can pull this off, the rest of South America will eventually follow. The US needs stability there. Highly recommend this thread, especially the demographic shift highlighted. The young want freedom and liberty, not government!

This should topple Lula’s government, and that is a good thing. If it does and a more US-aligned government emerges…that would be a dream scenario in GPC and could form some cracks in BRICS.

Pretty sure this is just a rebranding of Information Warfare. Interestingly, a war is being waged against us constantly in this realm, and it just so happens that a friend of mine wrote a book about protecting yourself from it! I have not finished, but if the book is as good and Stooks is as a human, it will be worth far more than the $20. Here is a link:
