Halloween 2025 is in the books. Number 1 had 3 parties, 3 costumes, and some would say they were the best costumes of the fraternity. I will not share pictures, but I did laugh; at least he was in the library on Sunday. Number 2 didn’t go to a party and opted instead to hang out with our neighbors down the street. I’m really not surprised. He would rather hang out with adults than kids, and he did fix the things on his truck this weekend, all by himself. Pretty impressive, actually. Number 3 ended up going to see some friends, but her weekend was defined by success on the lacrosse field. Her team finished the tournament 4-2 and took 3rd place. Their only defeats were to the same team that took second place in the tournament. She is a beast out there. Number 4 went to a party and stayed at a friend’s house, so we didn’t see her much. I kinda missed her. In the end, the pumpkins were carved, the kids went their directions, and it’s back to the Monday grind.
Your obligatory reminder that Lunch Box Quotes are notes I put in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, but 2-4 get a handwritten napkin. Now, since they pack their own lunches, I write about them here.
