Fury in Mexico as the cartels murder Carlos Manzo, Mayor of Uruapan, the second-largest city in the State of Michoacán.
For months, the mayor had been recording livestreams, asking Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to help him fight the cartels in his city.
He had launched a… pic.twitter.com/r7GTFEMCCC

This fits a theme I have been talking about all week. Basically, the mayor of the second-largest state in Mexico is murdered by the cartel while the Mexican president does nothing. Sheinbaum sits by and watches the cartels murder her rivals. She is owned by the cartel and is no friend to the U.S. Read the comments, maybe this will serve as a tipping point.

While the targeting of narcoboats makes me uneasy in the realm of legality. This is the truth. What we have been doing doesn’t work, and more than 100,000 Americans die each year from overdoses and drug-related crime. We are in a war, but have refused to fight it for years. For a historical parallel, look at how China fought the Opium Wars.

It’s a mess and like it or not, we are still involved. Better to know than to be caught off guard when something blows up.

This is probably too good to be true, and the only reason I am putting it here is just in case. I have hope.
