Normally, I don’t post these on weekends because there are no lunches to make, therefore no notes. However, this weekend, since only half of the family is home, I thought I would write one. I actually thought about this yesterday, and in this space, there was only going to be one sentence: “I’m convinced the dog rolls in s@*t to make me pay attention to her.” But given the fact that the Wife and Number 3 had to evacuate their hotel last night because it caught on fire, how about some extra encouragement? Everyone is safe, but they will be a little extra tired today, I am sure. The wife was amazing last night, made all the right decisions to protect her cub.
As a reminder, Lunch Box Quotes are notes I include in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, but 2-4 get a handwritten napkin. Now, since they pack their own lunches, I also write about them here. Just the digital version today.
Quotes:
1. “The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance.” – John Philpot Curran
2. “The best camouflage pattern is called, ‘Sit down and be quiet!” Your grandpa hunted deer in a red plaid coat. Think about that for a second.” – Fred Bear
3. “Your mind is a battlefield, be it’s commander. Not it’s soldier.” Kai Green
4. “Read to expand your mind. Write to organize your mind. Build to focus your mind.” – Dan Koe
For the Wife. “There is no greater warrior than a mother protecting her child.” – N.K. Jemison

I had a quote for Number 1, but I was researching just to make sure. Turns out it was wrongly attributed in the tweet, and I stumbled upon a better version. You can see what I Googled here.
