To all of those who have served and continue to serve, thank you. Few have chosen to pick up the mantle of freedom. To those who came before me, thank you for the visionary ideals of freedom and liberty, thank you for setting the standard of excellence, and thank you for your sacrifices so that I could walk the path that you blazed. To those who served with me, thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder, thank you for seeing in me what I could not see in myself, and thank you for your courage when we “were in a tough spot.” To those who continue to serve, thank you for sharing that sense of duty, thank you for meeting every challenge, and thank you for your bravery as we continue our nation’s march into the unknown. To the families, thank you for being our rock and our foundation to which our compass is always oriented. Without you, the sacrifices would not have been worth it. Though our reasons were many, the potential cost was the same. E pluribus unum, Happy Veterans Day.
No notes in the kids’ lunches today, they have the day off, and Number 1 is snowed in! Just the digital version.
