I tried checking BlueSky because I am also worried about bias but, wow, 5 minutes there and it was a soup of hate. I probably need to push past it, but yikes. For the most part, these posts are about news in National Security. We do the scrolling so you don’t have to! This post also serves as an open thread. It is not just the maritime militia; China is pressing the boundaries on all fronts. I will say though, I don’t hear much about airspace incursions here. Tiawan, yes, all the time. This seems different and is worth keeping an eye one. China could be changing tactics. In my opinion, the Philippines use of radical transparency is working, and this may be an indication of a change in strategy.

This is and will always be a problem. Again, just my opinion, but these types of incursions create a space for a strategic partnership with the US Coast Guard. I am of the mind that a huge amount of resources should be poured into the Coast Guard and partnerships are cultivated and developed where we help these nations defend their fisheries is the most exploitable front in the Great Power Competition.
