December 10, 2025 – Daily X Threads

Some quick X threads from the last few days. For the most part, these posts are about news in National Security. We do the scrolling so you don’t have to! This post also serves as an open thread. I welcome readers to post comments or additional links related to national security or history, even if they are not directly related to the links below.

When you can’t win, you lie. There should be no sympathy for Hamas, and remember, the Palestinians chose them. Quote:

The goal, as I said then, was to worsen the hunger crisis and initiate a disaster as part of the terror group’s famine narrative in a desperate effort to stop Israel’s onslaught against Gaza and force the return of the UN’s aid distribution mechanism, and away from the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).”

This is what genocide really looks like.

I don’t want to beat a dead horse here because most of my readers actually agree with me, but one should never forget that the tunnels protected the fighters, not the people. The civilians are only for defense in depth, intentionally sacrificed to build a narrative.

A flyover of the Chinese buildup in the Pacific. I am sure they are repairing this former Imperial Japanese runway for economic reasons…nothing to see here.

I truly don’t think the average American understands unrestricted warfare and what we are facing. Warfare without limits, that means the fentanyl and drug epidemic, cyber attacks, stealing identities, hacking elections, competition for influence, and embedding kill switches in their products. Literally anything that you can think of that imposes cost or disruption. This story is the perfect example. I don’t normally quote large sections of others’ work, but this is so important and illustrates the depth of the challenge we are facing.

Right around the time “Unrestricted Warfare” was released, an orange blight called “citrus greening,” or HLB, suspiciously arrived in America after formerly only existing in China It has destroyed the industry. 95% of Florida’s orange groves are gone because of the blight, and the fact that the Asian psyllid insect that carries HLB remains means they can’t be replanted and brought back. No GMO, insecticide, or antibiotic treatments have worked in fighting off HLB and the psyllid Yet worse, it continues to spread, and has knocked out about two-thirds of American citrus production generally, with California and Texas increasingly feeling the same pain as Florida And just months ago, Chinese researchers connected to the CCP were caught smuggling genetically modified wheat blight into Michigan, which could have done the same thing to wheat that HLB did to oranges, with far more dire consequences.”

More evidence. And if you don’t believe these because they are just words…they have the receipts.

The environmental destruction is unlike anything the world has ever seen. Just a reminder: this is in Iran, a nominal ally of China, with friends like these…

We are responding to the threat, but we need more. Every American and ally can participate in this fight simply by looking at where the products we buy come from. Buy American, shut off the funding spigot.

The truth is, it makes me uneasy sharing this tweet. I can see my readership in China. I know I am making it easier for them to gather intelligence, but you also need to know that we are responding. I don’t know, maybe I don’t share these posts anymore.

Unfortunately, these are our allies.

Alright, let’s close this out with a little history.

The depression was rough. Harder than anything that we have faced.

A warning as we ramp up our shipbuilding capacity. We need to do it fast, but we have to get it right.
