The Pirates plundered and pillaged their way to three victories last night. They couldn’t quite pitch a shutout, the Varsity Boys won 18-0, JV Boys 16-0 (I think), and the Varsity Girls won 21-1! Two and Three will be patrolling the green fields of The Ship once again tonight if the weather holds. Number 1 left the Lineville Gorge a couple days early. He managed to get cell service and called for a weather update; rain and snow were moving in, so he packed up. Only one night on his solo trip, he caught a nice brown trout but did not see the Brown Mountain Lights. I have managed to build some consistency this week in my Lenten journey. I have lacked the discipline for fasting, but the stillness of early mornings has provided much-needed solitude. If you have the Hallow App, I highly recommend this morning’s message. If you are on X, formerly known as Twitter, please consider giving the folks below a follow. Without their work, this wouldn’t be possible.
As a reminder, Lunch Box Quotes are notes I include in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, but 2-4 get handwritten napkins.
