April 15. Most people remember this date because it is tax day, but I get to remember this day because it is my Mom’s birthday! For those of you who do not know, my mother is the rock and foundation of our family. She is the steadying force that keeps us together. Honestly, there are so many things I could write about my mom, her love of flowers, gardening, canning, quilting, and sewing; she has taught me so many things over the years. She is also the one who cut all the heads off the chickens when we would butcher them every summer on the farm…that will leave an impression on a young boy. If any of you are lucky enough to see her today, wish her a happy birthday for me, please!
As a reminder, Lunch Box Quotes are notes I include in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, and 2-4 get handwritten napkins.
