Today will be different. It is not that I have never had a guest post on the platform before; I have. I just have not had one of my own. For today, Number 3 provides the content. It comes from a ‘summer assignment’ from one of her AP classes.
Trying to Make the World a Better Place
I want to be exactly like Judy Hopps from Zootopia. It might sound a little strange, but let me explain. When I was about 6 years old, I knew that I wanted to help people just like she did. At first, I wanted to be a police officer like she was. However, once I reached middle school, I realized that I wanted to be something different.
It was pep rally day in seventh grade, and things were going as you would expect. Loud, fun, and happy. That was until my science teacher came up to me and said I was getting checked out. I didn’t really know why. But when I got into my parents’ car to go home, they told me my Grandpa had a massive heart attack, and that we needed to go to Tennessee immediately to see him in the hospital.
He ended up being alright, but that hospital visit stuck with me. I saw nurses who were happy to explain to us about what was wrong and take care of my grandpa, even though he can be the biggest grump sometimes. More importantly, I saw their determination to help others despite the obstacles, just like Judy. It lit a spark in me. From that day on, I knew that I wanted to go into healthcare. From that day on, I knew that I wanted to help families like mine, who are terrified if the next second they spend with a loved one will be their last.
I know the road won’t be easy. After all, being a nurse isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. However, helping people through something I truly love is the perfect career for me. That’s why The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the best fit for me. From its strong nursing program to its affordable tuition, UNC will help make this goal possible. Just like Judy Hopps said, “Try to make the world a better place.” That is what I hope to do through healthcare.
Lunch Box Quotes are notes I, with some help from the wife, include in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, and 2-4 get handwritten napkins.

Anyway, here’s the original reverse of the great seal of the United States, which ended up going unused. Any idea what it depicts, who drew it, and how the original Americans saw themselves? pic.twitter.com/SaqaESDpxk
