By all accounts, Number 3 played great this weekend. One of the other teams gave her a “Player of the Match” pin, which is pretty cool. A great, well-played season has wrapped up; no more travel for her. She will miss her friends and this team. Numbers 1 and 2 were skunked [deer] hunting, but lessons were learned. (Edit: Actually, Number 2 got a wood duck Saturday morning) Number 1’s infil was more than 2 1/2 miles with more than 1000ft in elevation change, in the dark. Challenges like this are important. Dad nods in approval. And, I got a chance to spend some one-on-one time with Number 4. Those are always special. When Mondays are rough, it’s probably because it was a good weekend.

As a reminder, Lunch Box Quotes are notes I include in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, but 2-4 get a handwritten napkin. Now, since they pack their own lunches, I also write about them here.

Quotes:

1. “Those who believe in obsurdities can commit atrocities without ever thinking they are doing wrong.” Elon Musk paraphrasing Voltaire

2. “He who sweats more in training, bleeds less in war.” – Spartan Proverb

3. “Truth is so obscure in these times, and falsehood so established, that, unless we love the truth, we cannot know it.” – Blaise Pascal

4. “Obstacles can delay your growth, but cannot stop the force within that wants to break through.” – Unknown

Sources:

To paraphrase Voltaire, those who believe in absurdities can commit atrocities without ever thinking they’re doing anything wrong.

What would happen if there were an omnipotent AI that was trained to believe absurdities?

Grok is the only AI that is laser-focused on truth.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 10, 2025

pic.twitter.com/OhCsxT8BRd

— Wisdom (@Wisdom_HQ) November 8, 2025

“People almost invariably arrive at their beliefs not on the basis of proof but on the basis of what they find attractive.”
– Blaise Pascal, L’Art de persuader (1660)
“Truth is so obscure in these times, and falsehood so established, that, unless we love the truth, we cannot know…

— Y2WATERMARK (@Y2WATERMARK) November 10, 2025

pic.twitter.com/oDnRiNQu9Z

— Wisdom (@Wisdom_HQ) November 10, 2025

The family is back together minus 1.
