Today we go back to Afghanistan and discuss the two sides of war and the complexities of conflict. In rural Afghanistan, a family welcomes Taliban rule<\/a>, the BBC interviews a family living in the Taliban stronghold of Marjah, Helmand Province, the area that was witness to some of the most intense fighting over the last 20 years. No matter which side of a conflict you are on, mothers still mother. Reuters goes to Nangahar in: The Taliban vowed no revenge. One Afghan family tells a different story<\/a>, where the Taliban reportedly looked to settle an old score. The conflict in Afghanistan is far from over. Complicating matters, the New York Times reports: The U.S. Military Said It Was an ISIS Safe House. We Found an Afghan Family Home.<\/a> Intelligence is hard and the cost of mistakes or being intentionally misled may be catastrophic and have lasting effects.
