A mixed bag as we are all over the place in today\u2019s daily dump. While frustration is not necessarily conveyed in the article I can imagine steam is blowing out someone\u2019s ears somewhere as the U.S. bars flight from landing with Americans from Kabul \u2013 activists<\/a> \u2013 Reuters. Staying in Afghanistan, Foreign Policy reports, Afghanistan Is No Treasure Trove for China: The country\u2019s mineral wealth remains largely theoretical.<\/a> It\u2019s an informative take on the challenges anyone will face in Afghanistan but more importantly, the article prospects around the globe to paint a more complete picture of Rare Earth Metal Mining and is definitely worth your time. The Modern War Institute takes a look at irregular warfare \u2018doctrine\u2019 and identifies some issues in Not Your Grandfather\u2019s Resistance: The Unavoidable Truths about Small States\u2019 Best Defense Against Aggression<\/a>. I don\u2019t think the author truly knows what Special Operations are teaching down range and makes some assumptions here, but it is still helpful in identifying potential deficiencies.
