Lunch Box Quotes

****Proud Dad Alert****

A big announcement from yesterday. Number 2 earned a construction pre-apprenticeship opportunity with Monteith Construction, and I couldn’t be more proud of the little guy. From the high school announcement:

“(Number 2) began the construction pathway by enrolling in Core and Sustainable Construction at Topsail High. He also joined Pender County Schools’ first SHED team, which gave him additional opportunities to apply what he was learning in class and develop practical construction skills.

He continued through all three years of the construction program. Along the way, (2) showed that he was dependable, willing to learn and ready to take on new responsibilities. His work in the classroom and on construction projects helped prepare him for an opportunity beyond high school.

Monteith Construction recognized (Number 2’s) preparation and offered him a pre-apprenticeship position. The opportunity will allow him to continue developing his skills while gaining experience alongside professionals in the construction industry.”

Your dedication, hard work, but most of all, your character earned this, buddy. Love you.

Lunch Box Quotes are notes I, with some help from the wife, include in the kids’ lunches every day. Since Number 1 is off in college, he gets a text, and Numbers 2-4 typically get handwritten notes on napkins, but today it’s notes for the girls and a text for Number 2…he is gone fishing.
