It was a big weekend. So big that this was supposed to be a Monday post, but here we are, Tuesday. Number 1 came home for the weekend to deer hunt. We stayed up too late on Friday for the early morning rise, but the afternoon hunt was successful! Then on Sunday it was a very early rise for a lacrosse tournament in Matthews, NC. So early that the missed Saturday morning one was slightly embarrassed to be labeled as such. Regardless, 3 games, 3 losses in unseasonably cold weather made for a long drive home. The team is young; lessons were learned. Then Sunday reached into Monday via car issues, but that story is not completely written yet, maybe an update there tomorrow.
Lunch Box Quotes are notes I usually include in the kids’ lunches. Since Number 1 is off in college and Number 2 is skipping lunch now (he’s trying to cut weight for lacrosse), they both get a text. Typically, both 3 and 4 get handwritten notes on napkins, but teachers work day today and only a 1/2 day of classes, which equals no lunch. So they also get a text this morning.
