I searched my bookmarks on X (formerly known as Twitter) for almost 45 minutes for Number 1’s quote because I thought it said fishing, not hunting. However, it is still true. Number 1 is fly fishing today, after a great trip smallmouth fishing guided by a friend of mine. Thank you, Keith! Number 2 is working, and I was up to see him off and help make his lunch. And Numbers 3 and 4 have a lacrosse tournament this weekend…busy, busy, busy. Honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way. If you have an extra second, click on the first tweet in the sources below to read about “Capital W” Wilderness in America. Here is a key section: “Wilderness in America has a strict legal definition; it is completely untouched, wild, public land with the strictest legal protections possible (more strict than our National Parks). That means no roads, nothing with motors or wheels, no bikes or strollers, no extraction of any sort is allowed in Wilderness.” I did not know this. Fascinating read.
Typically, Lunch Box Quotes are notes I include in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, and 2-4 get handwritten napkins, but for the Summer Edition, we will be searching for consistency and hopefully a routine. Today, a note for Number 2, the rest get texts.

The next couple America 250 conservation poasts will be about what’s known as “Capital W” Wilderness or “Federally Designated Wilderness”. America has the very first and the largest national system for Wilderness protection. This fact makes Canadians very mad, so make sure and… pic.twitter.com/Oa9aLLWvmg
