Numbers 3 and 4 both had travel lacrosse tournaments this weekend, and both played well. Several proud dad moments were had. Number 4’s team played to a 2-2 split in the tournament against really tough competition. But the story for her is not the team record; it was her attitude. Particularly in the final game. She finally tapped into an inner aggression, a ‘do whatever it takes’ attitude that doesn’t ball watch and let the game come to them, but forces action. It was this “do-anything” attitude that earned her a player of the game award in their final match. Very proud of her play this weekend. For Number 3, it was more team success than individual performance as they finished the tournament with a 5-1 record and 1st in their division. It was a great overall performance by the whole team. Minus the sunburn, it was a great weekend.
Typically, Lunch Box Quotes are notes I include in the kids’ lunches every day. Number 1 gets a text, and 2-4 get handwritten napkins, but for the Summer Edition, we will be searching for consistency and hopefully a routine. Today, all texts.
